People in Tatopani

Most of the people here in Tatopani Bazar are Sherpa people. They have been came from the upper himalayan area . They are the most populated in all Tatopani Bazar and surrounding places. Then it comes Tamang People. They have been came from the hilly area and settled down there. Newars, Gurungs,magars and other ethinics groups are also settled down here. Although they are different from each other in castes, religion , traditions, etc. they follow each other. They celebrate all kind of festivals with exixt in Tatopani Bazar and may in whole Nepal and India.

Some of the main festivals of the people of Tatopani are as follows;-

* Loshar (Mainly Sherpa, Gurung,tamang)

*Dashain and Tihar (almost all people)

*Buddha jayanti (almost all people)

*Holi (all people)

*New Year (all people)

*Christmas ( mostly youngsters),etc...
