People in Tatopani
Most of the people here in Tatopani Bazar are Sherpa people. They
have been came from the upper himalayan area . They are the most
populated in all Tatopani Bazar and surrounding places. Then it comes
Tamang People. They have been came from the hilly area and settled down
there. Newars, Gurungs,magars and other ethinics groups are also settled
down here. Although they are different from each other in castes,
religion , traditions, etc. they follow each other. They celebrate all
kind of festivals with exixt in Tatopani Bazar and may in whole Nepal
and India.
Some of the main festivals of the people of Tatopani are as follows;-
* Loshar (Mainly Sherpa, Gurung,tamang)
*Dashain and Tihar (almost all people)
*Buddha jayanti (almost all people)
*Holi (all people)
*New Year (all people)
*Christmas ( mostly youngsters),etc...

Tatopani Bazar
TATOPANI BAZAR
This Place is the Center of Tatopani Bazar.
"Tatopani" is one of the VDC (Village Development Committee) of Sindhupalchok District which is situated in Bagmati Region of Central Development Region. The head Quarter of Sindhupalchok District is Chautara which is in near Kabrepalanchok District,one of the district in Central Developlment region. Tatopani VDC is situated in the extreme north of the country which is very close to the land mark of the people republic of China. Tatopani is a hill surrounded place along with the downward flowing Bhote koshi river. Although this place is not so good and comfortable for living but people have settled down here . These people live here ,perform there daily activities. Most people are not well educated because the modern technology and world has touched this place just since last 25 years. Due to influence of he trade to China or Tibet this place is much developed than other places or wards of tatopani. This place is given the name tatopani because of the hot water that arises form the under ground point. This water is so beneficial for the sickness of the people. It is said that those who take regular baths in this water can get rid of the problems of pains, allergies, etc.

This place is not so much good for agriculture. Most of the people do terrace farming in the hill area where they will find good quality of soil and availability of water. Most people living in the town area do business with people of china. but people who are living in the hill area which are quite far from this town area ,they survive by farming/agriculture. In this areas the crops like potatoes,Barley,etc are grown along with wheat, Maize ,etc which are very good for the purpose of daily foodings.They rear cattles such as goat, buffaloes,cow,etc for milk and fertilizers.
This place is also known as a tourism place .They mostly visit this place to go Tibet for Cycling,and other adventurous games such as rafting, canyoing, hiking, Bunjy jumping,swing, etc.
